Hello,

I"ve hinted in my posts (especially here, from making an employment thread) that I am starting a Game Server Provider. I have people questioning me about it, so I figured I"ll announce here.. Yes, I am starting a GSP.

The launch date, has yet been decided. Our custom panel is currently being worked on.

I think that with my experience in this field, and in general customer relations that my team and I can accomplish great things.

I have a rather large slate of employees that are assisting me in order to get things running. Soon (by soon I mean a few months), I will be having a "Month of Beta Testing" (Will be giving free Game Servers out for 1 month).

Now, the thing is with starting a GSP, is that you have to do it the right way. Not start out half empty. If you do this, you will fall quickly. You need to be patient, be determined, and be able to think that at the end of each day, 100% of your clients CAN/COULD be satisfied.

We have seen several new companies go up, then they sell out or go down. I think that it DOES take a few months to organize something like this in order for it to be successful. A few GSP owners around here and I have spoken for quite a long time, this is what we need. Friendly business relationships. As a Dedicated Box Provider, I have saved a few smaller GSP"s during difficult times they were in need.

The future of Premium Dedicated Servers has yet to be determined. Currently, I"m considering handing it over to one of my close business partners.

This decision is because, personally I"m sick of these companies going half way in and not going further. You are providing a service, to a client, your client. The quality of their service or your professionalism shouldn"t be based off your "feelings" or "getting bored" or "they already paid so who cares".

I am looking forward to meeting with a few "GSP Advisors" (I guess you could call them) in this industry and continue to talk to them about ways we need to and can improve the areas of the GSP & Gaming Industry.

I thank you for your time, and hopefully this will clear up any rumors that have been shared.

We can work together, or we can work against each other. However, these childish acts that have happend recently to several companies is unacceptable, and I will not tolerate any longer.

Have to agree on the last point. Good luck with your company buddy. Hope we can have a chat from time to time ;)

I agree with you Marcus, when I was involved in the GSP industry as an owner back in 2005 I was getting sick and tired of the childish acts that went on. I valued my money, and my business. This is why I believe you shouldn"t start a GSP just because you have some money to rent a dedicated server and pay for a game panel license.

Good luck with it, let me know if you need any advising!

Completely agreed, by starting a Game Server Provider, you should not be expecting tons of money in the beginning. You should also know it takes money to start one up. You cannot, as you said, just go out rent a box and a panel and say here you go.

If you are seriously interested in starting a GSP, my advice is to talk to Bobby, or talk to a company that is pretty successful.. For example, I have kept in close contact with Anthony Quon (GS) and Dallas Behling (AoWC). In order to be sucessful you need to be willing to spend some money.

Are you looking to buy a box? Well, yes mos tof you will buy the parts, but if you"re looking for something thats not to pricey, I recommend contacting GS or AoWC they have quite a few boxes they"ll sell you for cheap. I"m completely against some companies policies that you have to sign a contract for a year of hosting of a box. Just go all out, spend money, and in the end you"ll see that it made a big impact.

People are saying, oh don"t get into the GSP Industry, I say do, get in the industry, if you have what it takes; money, patience, determination. I am not selfish, and to some what I"m saying is probably stupid. I just think that if we can get some new companies in there with old companies, we will once again have a upbeat industry. Yes, it is marketing it is sales, however, attacking personally is the wrong way to go.

I would also add to your point, that Marketing is the key in this domain. Perfect exemple is End of Reality. I also think that providers must have a good relationship between each other, but at the same time be competitive, at a FAIR level.

Triple thinking… I think right now, I want tos tick with an already established GSP. I loved working at Go-Networks. I didn't get paid, but the customer was ALWAYS happy. That's what matters.. If an already established GSP is looking for a "General Manager" or Sales/Customer Relations guy.. I'd really appreciate it if you messaged me.

I took over 14 months of my time toward Go-Networks, then to be treated like this, it hurts.

Thanks guys.
