I’ve been using multiple hosts throughout the years when needing to host different kind of servers. Fragnet is the third host I’m trying for Minecraft and based on my two earlier tries Fragnet really stands out and I’m amazed of the quality.

Throughout my experience with hosting companies it feels like they have put full focus on giving top quality in one area. This could be the server quality, customer response quality and a lot of other things, but Fragnet is something different as to me they have matched what I consider a top notch hosting provider.

I’ve rated them full stars in all areas because to me they really exceeded the limits. I don’t regret one moment I purchased hosting from them.

Ive inquired about information with Fragnet and created 3 tickets and havent heard a thing from them.

This deffinately isnt true. They have ignored every effort of mine. If this is the sales customer service, then what would the support service be like? No thanks!

Initially we were with Xfactor with some of our servers, and we over time dropped down to one L4D2 server, purchases in Nov. 2009. At the time, Xfactor was fantastic with their service and support. Down the road, the company was purchased by Fragnet. Initially we were promised a smooth transition as the servers were converted to the new host. We were promised minimal downtime, and no loss in the transition. As well as retaining our current IP’s. Well things didn’t go smooth. Ours as well as others servers went down, and it took several days to clean up the mess. We were compensated for our downtime which was a plus. When our server was restored, we found out that we lost everything, we had a new IP, and we were moved from Dallas to Amsterdam. What a cluster xxxx. Their reasoning was that in the transfer of ownership, Fragnet couldn’t retain Xfactors existing servers. So we had to start completely over.

Since the time of the takeover, till now, we have seen occasional game server outages, control panel outages and full website outages. Though minimal, they did happen more than once.

Most recently, we have seen issues where after a L4D2 update has been released, the server would constantly crash on map changes. This left the server down most of the day for over a week as no one was able to restart the server because most of us were at work during the day. Story is that it may have been corrupt files on their end and that they had updated the files and suggested reinstalling the entire server. This kind of lead me to the most recent cancellation a week ago.

We found that their site states that an immediate cancellation can take place within 24 hrs. Turns out that it takes 2-3 days.

We were then in need of a TS3 server so we used our credit to purchase it. We got the TS3 server and set it up. The next day, I come to find that the TS3 server was terminated. Contacting support, and waiting for them to investigate the problem, they had no answer to why it happened and created a new TS3 server. After a day, we realized we really didn’t need it, so I put in for an immediate cancellation.
36 hrs later, it still wasn’t terminated, So I contacted support. Talking to staff in a support ticket, I asked how I would go about changing from a TS3 server back to a L4D2 server as there was another update which resolved some of the more recent issues. Nick nicely helped me out and cancelled the TS3 server, and then installed a L4D2 server. Everything was great, and I made all the changes to the server to suite our needs. I also uploaded about 15-17 maps so we could play them the next day. The server was setup on Tuesday, and when returning from work on Wednesday, I come to find that the L4D2 server was terminated. Contacting support again and asking why it is that 2 servers were terminated a day after ordering them and setting them up.

Till now, no one has provided me with a clear answer. They claim I placed a L4D2 cancellation and that’s why it was terminated. That cancellation was for the previous L4D2 server we had and not for the newest one. 3 days later and still no server. Arguing in support on what has happened has cleared up nothing.

My experiences lately haven’t been great lately.
Disappointing on how customers are treated after being a customer for more than 3 yrs.
I just became to frustrated arguing with them and I have to cut my losses and move on.
Financially it’s only a small amount, and I was hoping to use it up, but seems I will have to give that up too.

I’ve read all your comment and reviews and that’s why I’ve been with Fragnet for the last 48h I was with fluctis and I had too much lag with no support so I switch here. First of all the cost are higher than elsewhere so I tough that the performance and support was amazing. Well it’s not I’ve write 6 ticket in the first 48h to help and bug and the only answer I get every time is reset your server and update your plugin. They don’t help at all they keep repeating this and I’ve put another ticket 4h ago no answer they just ignore me. This provider is well over rated. I had lag with fructis but at least my server never crash for no reason and not even an error from my console

So please take care if they chose them you probably can find a cheaper server that will have a better support somewhere else keep searching

Our server started on my brothers, then on my personal computer long long ago. When we finally admitted that it was too much work to upkeep the server ourselves and we didn’t like the lag from outbound ISP connections, we made the decision to find a pro-hosting company.

I don’t like to speak ill of people, so I will abbreviate this story and say that we have since tried three different hosts now. One of our admin’s found FragNet and decided to give it a try. He signed us up and we played on two servers for a while, trying some things out and seeing what we liked better, how the services compared to the prices and we ended up moving to FragNet and abandoning our (second) previous host.

Since we have been with FragNet we have opened troughly 4 support tickets. All of them were for minor things that we wanted to change, add, or remove, nothing really affecting server play. Their responses were fast, courteous and always resolved our issues very quickly and effectively. Having worked in Customer Support in the past myself, I know how hard that is to do, and I appreciate it.

Our server is everything we could ask for. We’re running Bukkit, a handful of plug-ins and all of that is easy to install and upkeep while not worrying about the backend crap we were more than happy to get rid of. We use the Group-Pay so we share the cost of the server between multiple people and that really helps all of us enjoy the experience without it hurting one person more than the others.

Overall, I can’t say enough how happy I am to be a FragNet customer, and I hope this review helps someone else decide to become one too. It’s totally worth it.

I needed a dedicated server and I contacted Fragnet. I was helped very quickly and offered a special they had on a dedicated server, dual quad core with 8 GB RAM for a very reasonable price. Set up was fast and customer service was great. Unfortunately, after 2 months I had to get rid of it because my community didn’t donate enough, but if I ever need another server, I will check them out.

Marketing blurb is so often misleading and occasionally downright BS, however Fragnet deliver on their promises in the the couple of paragraphs at the top of this page.

Our group have moved to a dedicated server hosted by Fragnet and have found the following;

Server/Network – Absolutely solid, hosted in NYC, we run 3 x DOD 1.3 game servers (Yes, DOD is still alive) 1 x DayZ server, 1 x Procon layer and 1 x TS3 server and the performance is very impressive. Both latency and hitreg have improved on our previous box. No downtime experienced either.

Support – Outstanding, we get courteous and relevant responses to tickets within minutes. We had an issue with our previous hosting company leaving us in the lurch, and out of pocket. Fragnet later bought this company out and were keen to resolve the issues despite not being responsible for the problems, their CEO even stepped in to assist.

Responses from support do feel like they are from gamers who instinictively know what your priorities and requirements are likely to be, as opposed to the disinterested 9-5 employee reading a script that we all come across every day.

Pricing – We got an exceptional deal on our dedicated server rental that I cannot see being beaten anywhere else anytime soon. Even if we were to somehow find a cheaper host we would not risk losing the server reliability or the support we have recieved from Fragnet.

Website – The website is a professional and slick facility from our experience.

Bottom line – Fragnet is exactly as it says on the tin “the ultimate platform for fast and reliable game servers”. We are a group of 100+ annual subscribing members, we need to ensure our subscription fees are spent on solid, reliable game servers and thats exactly what we’ve gotten from Fragnet.

I have hosted many servers in Minecraft and dealt with a lot of hosts. Small hosting companies used to be the type of company that I would go with because of the speed your tickets get responded to but, Fragnet given me new hope in the Server Hosting Community. I have been their customer for five months and I have had no problems with the service. Everytime I had had a problem they have went out of their way to explain to me why it happened and how I could prevent it (teaching this aged old mine things about hosting a Minecraft Server that a lot of other Minecraft Hosts don’t even know). I highly recommend them.

I bought a 10 slot Garry’s Mod server hosted in Amsterdam.

The Server:
The server is very stable! When someone spawns a huge duplication with a load of props, it can cause problems with lag, but other than that, it’s a great server that pretty much put up with everything we threw at it. Wonderful.

The Service:
The Ticket service is incredibly fast. My query was answered within 10 minutes of sending it when I needed some help. It was a very informative and to-the-point response. Great.

The Website:
The website is so easy to use and navigate, I had ordered my server in no time! The user interface is marvellous and slick. A job well done to the coders of the website.

The Pricing:
The pricing is very competitive. They offered some of the lowest prices I’ve seen for Garry’s Mod servers. Low prices and great servers is a great thing to offer to customers.

Overall:
The server performs nicely, the website just works, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the pricing is very competitive. Other server hosts need to look up to FragNet.

I have been a member of Fragnet for a while now, I changed from another well known company and never looked back, you have complete freedome in what you do on the server and have the best support ive seen from any company, very good prices for the service you get, only had 1 downtime that was due to a major issue in a server machine but it was fixed very very fast, I have members from all over the world, my hosting is in Amsterdam and people from USA, Brazil and Australia say they never lagg at all, it truely is the best out there.
