Multiplay is NOT where you want to spend your cash! I used Multiplay for my communities Mumble voice communication and aside from the cheap per slot price their service is absolutely awful. After a few weeks on their service we started to get nightly issues with our server including disconnects and voice tranmission failures for all users. Their tech support was unable to resolve the issue so after 3 months of back and forth emails. Finally I canceled the service, moved to a great new host, and requested a refund for months unused (184 days). They flat out refused a refund of those days.
This company has awful uptime, awful support, and god forbid you have a problem like mine kiss your hard earned money goodbye.
DO NOT USE MULTIPLAY FOR ANY OF THEIR HOSTING SERVICES.

Multiplay Gameservers is a great host, with lots of easy add ons and mods just waiting to get added to your server with a simple click, and their ClanForge Control panel is simple and great, without doubt the best and most simple host i’ve ever had! The Support team is always polite and passionate to solve whatever problems or requests you might have. What i really like is the Livesupport chat, where you in the matter of seconds can ask a question, and get an almost instant answer from the support team, witch aims to solve your problem at all costs.
Once, my server in Amsterdam, NL hosted by Multiplay ran into some troubles, so i was asked if i would like to either change to another machine in Amsterdam, or an whole other location. I got my whole server moved to Sweden in 10 minutes, and everything was just like i left it, only on a new machine with no issues.
The servers are fast and reliable, the pricing is fine and the support is great. I am not going to use any other game host ever again, Multiplay Gameservers is the best provider i’ve ever had.

The time I spent with Multiplay was a happy time.
The prices are very good and my server was setup within 5 minutes of buying it.
Support was helpful and replied within 30 minutes of submitting a ticket.
Server control panel was easy to navigate and simple to use. It responded fast and gave detailed logs and statistics.
Very recommended.

Don’t let multiplay pull you in with their low pricing.
Their support is dreadful. Ticket responses took as long as 4 days.
When BF3 came out I wanted to find a good ping server provider at somewhat of an affordable price. Multiplay offered that at an even better price then I expected. Then I needed support. In order for me to upgrade my server and add more slots I had to submit a ticket. That seemed like kind of a bad way of handling upgrades but that I could really care less about. 3 days later they finally took care of it. I’m sorry but the other 3 companies I’ve hosted games off of took best a hour. If it would have taken even a day I could of cared less but 3 days is unbelievable. I ended up canceling the server after a month at no fault of their own because our clan just couldn’t fill the server.
With SWTOR releasing shortly I wanted to get a Teamspeak server for my guild. I figured I would go through Multiplay just because I can’t really get too upset about a ticket taking too long to hold it against them.
I ordered the 20 slots server which included 4 SCALEslot slots. They claim is their special feature that allows you to fill your server and still allow more to join just in case. In every regard it’s worded so you believe you’re renting a 20 slots server with an extra 4 slots in case in fills up. I got my server and immediately noticed it had only 16 slots. I knew almost immediately when I saw it that they got over on me. It’s kind of their way of tricking you into believing you get bonus slots for using them when in actuality you are getting nothing special. You can actually see this on their site if you go to the voicecomm order page.
So I created a ticket and the response I received validated what I thought. I was only given a 16 slot server with 4 SCALEslot slots. They appologized and asked if I would like to upgrade the server. I told them I just wanted to cancel because trickery really doesn’t sit well with me. They told me to log in a cancel which I did the day they said to. They said they would put my account in queue to be refunded and it would take 7 – 14 working days. Yes 7-14 days to get a refund. It took seconds to setup my account and start the server up.
9 DAYS LATER I receive a response from them that unfortunately the server has been used constantly since it was purchased so they couldn’t offer me a full refund.
I never logged into the server after the first day it was setup. At best one of my friends thought we were using it from my original email i sent out when it was setup however if they actually cancelled the service why the heck was it still up.
I’m sharing my experience because I believe it will help others.

I purchased a BFH server from them two days ago. Upon installation, it was the wrong version. It took over 8 hours for them to reply to my ticket asking for the server to be updated. After they updated it, I got a different error. It took them 9 hours to reply to that ticket, stating that they “verified” the install. I tried again and still got an error, told them I could connect to other servers but they tried telling me it’s a client issue, when it’s clearly not because others tried connecting and got the same error. They ignored my request to reinstall the server, so I had to ask them again. Waiting for a reply now. My first impression is NOT good.
The control panel they use for their servers is also bulky and confusing and far inferior to that used by other GSP’s.

I have had nothing but great service all around from Multiplay. From gameservers, to voice servers, everything has run great. Excellent support, and admin functions. Clanforge takes a bit to get used to. Once you do, everything can be done from the push of a button. Editing files, adding mods, they have it all. Great support. All questions and tickets have been answered quickly, without any hiccups. Nothing short of a top notch GSP!

For the price I figured I’d try this company. This was nothing but a hasle. I was directed to they’re clanforge system that is useless, restrictive, and irrating. The system never updated correctly, as well as everything is predefined. The most interesting part was the fact that I never had access to the system. I couldn’t even direct myself to where you could edit your files. Lastly after about 10 -20 mins I requested a refund, this in turn immediately turned what service I had off and was directed to wait 7 – 10 days for a refund, currently I have not received any information of a refund and the support has been anything but helpful. For the price on a quick server with no modifications, or benefits, and completely restrictive, this is for you. However I found better services elsewhere.
