On any site, you’ll notice there are dozens if not hundreds of service providers for any type of hosting. I used vortex for around 3 months without ever having an issue, and I’d say that as long as there is no issue, there is no problem.
However, when I did have an issue that was of a high priority it was not treated as such. The particular outage is outlined on their forums.

After providing them the info, I ended up waiting 8 hours for a response, where they claimed it was an issue with my .jar file. I’m guessing they did not even read the case link. After an argument about how it could not be the .jar, I deleted my .jar file and the issue persisted, forcing them to look into the issue.
4 hours later I requested an update.
4 hours after my request for an update a technician said he tried to uninstall and reinstall (which I had already done and mentioned in my argument about the .jar) and that he would have to have a system admin look at this.
No ETA’s were given, nor any we’re looking at it / we’ll get to it soon messages. I understand if there’s not time, if there’s another issue, and a simple we will have it taken care of in the next 24 hours would have sufficed.
So again – anyone can setup a box for you to run your .jar file on, the separation between hosts is in support. Their support does not seem to fully care about the client. Service cancelled and moved.

I payed $30 for a 3 month minecraft server and on the first day it was up I couldn’t even play because the host quality was so poor. I have used other server hosting sites before and they worked fine. I strongly advise NOT to use this service.

we bought this server in hopes to lay with 5 people on our ftb server well we could not play at all when we bought the server was down for the first day and on the second day we couldn’t play because it was to laggy to do anything. i requested a refund and they will not refund our money save your money and your time with this company all they want is your money do not pay for a server hosted by them its not worth it try somewhere better

First off i would love to say this the servers are amazing and are high quality. The site is nice easy to move around on and managed. I ordered a 16 slot game server a 10 slot team speak and a web hosting package deal from them for my slowly starting out community. The setup was instant witch was good. All my services received a dedicated ip address witch is great! However as i was installing sourcemod i was getting dll problems meaning it was blocked in the ftp settings in the control panel. I quickly open a support ticket they said if i upload the zip file of source mod they will extract it seeing its windows dlls can be harmful to the machine, However after this was done the server did not start back up witch is probably a couse of corrupt files. This currently still has not been resolved and i am still currently waiting on it to be fixed. The support ticket times are around 6-7 hours to get a reply so i am not to happy on the support but the quality of the service is 10/10 in my book but they should get that ftp errors fixed.

I don’t usually write reviews but in this case I feel I should to help promote this young but highly efficient company.
I’ve used a few gaming hosts in the past but these guys have blown them all out of the water in customer care terms, their hardware is on par with all the big names in hosting, but they really are a cut above the rest.
Tbh I’m a bit of a pleb and have required a helping hand on several issues, usually when I’ve messed things up, tinkering with databases and the like. The level of support that I received was well above my expectations , if I didn’t live 5,000 miles away I’d take all the boys and girls at vortex servers out for a mammoth bender
