Dear GSPR members,

You may have noticed some minor changes to the gsprating.com website and business intake form, as well as the new features that have been added like “VoIP Reviews“. I have also eliminated a few items such as “GSP Rating Gives It” from every company profile page. The reason is that GSP Rating does not feel that our review of a business should be overwhelmingly predominant on the website. So I have decided to remove the “GSP Rating Gives It” and instead I will write reviews on each company as a normal users under the name “GSP Reviewer”.

The VoIP Reviews feature has been requested by many voice server providers for the past year, and up until last month my decision was that GSP and Voice Providers are one in the same. I recognize that they need their own space now to promote their business and receive reviews, so I created a section dedicated to VoIP as well as Web Hosting Providers. Make sure you choose the correct drop down category when your filling out the Get Listed form.

I have also made it a requirement that you must confirm your email account using a confirmation url sent directly to your email after you write a review. If your email does not get confirmed your review will not be published.

That is it for the new features and upgrades, please use the contact form if you have any comments or questions.

Recently there has been some minor and very major changes to the gsprating.com website and business model. The major one that most of you have already realized is the review and rating system. No longer is there one bulk star rating system, I have broke it down into per review star rating so that everyone has the opportunity to write a review and post their 1 – 5 star rating of the company.

I have received a concern from one of the holdout companies that have yet to add their listing to gsprating. His concern was that “anyone can comment on any company giving any review and rating they choose without actually verifying that they are or have been a customer of said company.” That is a great concern, and I would love to do something about it, but as many of you that already use websites such as Yelp.com&trade and other rating sites know that there is pretty much no possible way for the review site to verify such info unless there was a large database that every GSP uses to publish customer order numbers. If there were such a website I could just request that the reviewer post their order number, then have that review verified against the database, but until that day comes I am sorry I cannot verify your customers.

That being said, I want to hear back form our users. I want to know what it is you would like to see add and to the gsprating website, and what it is you may want removed… don’t be shy you can post under a FAKE NAME if you don’t feel comfortable. You can even send me an email or use our contact page if you don’t want to post here, but I do want to hear from you guys.

Thank you for making our first year such as great year. I look forward to serving the gaming community for many many years to come.
